Investors Realty, Inc. brokers Pat Regan and J.P. Raynor, J.D., are working with Lanoha Development Company on its $50 million redevelopment project in Millard called Lumberyard District. Located in the heart of old town Millard at 135th and Millard Avenue, Lumberyard District will consist of 350 residential apartment units featuring under building parking, 15,333 square feet of retail space, 19,500 square feet of office space and the new Southwest Omaha Police Precinct.
The project will have a suburban-urban feel and supports a national trend of mixed-use development that fulfills the desires of residents and business owners who want to live and/or work in a high-quality, community environment with built-in service, dining, shopping and entertainment options.
During the 2015 Commercial Real Estate Summit in Omaha, a panel of experienced developers called Millard an “up and coming” area where further new development will occur in the coming years.
Interest in Lumberyard District has been high. According to Pat, “The location, demographics, expert planning and quality construction of this project have created a lot of interest and the retail leasing activity has been strong so far. I can’t share any tenant names yet, but look forward to doing so in the coming months.” The first buildings in Lumberyard District are slated to open in August of 2016.
