OMAHA, NE, JULY 1, 2020 – Investors Realty announced changes to its leadership team as it plans for future growth and continuing changes to the commercial real estate industry. As of July 1, Chief Operating Officer Tim Langan will become a stockholder and succeed R.J. Neary as President. Neary, who has served as President since 2010, and has been with Investors Realty since 1987, will remain with the firm as Chairman, helping to guide the strategic growth of the company.
“Tim is a confident decision maker, coach and servant-leader who puts others first,” said Neary. “He has fostered the company through significant growth and change through upgraded technology, restructure and getting the right people in the right places.”
Langan joined Investors Realty as Chief Operating Officer in 2013, after holding leadership roles in the title insurance industry for the NP Dodge Company and Fidelity National Financial. He is an Omaha native and holds an undergraduate degree from University of Kansas and a law degree from University of Nebraska.
With this change comes other changes to Investors Realty’s management team. Tim Kerrigan CCIM, SIOR will become Vice Chairman and Managing Broker and Ryan Zabrowski CCIM, SIOR will become Treasurer and Secretary, overseeing Investors Realty’s finances. Also part of the management team, Laura Hansen CPM will continue in her role as Director of Property Management and will also be admitted as a stockholder of the firm. Co-founder Steve Farrell who currently serves as Chairman, will remain active with the company and act as an advisor. Farrell and Jerry Heinrichs founded Investors Realty on little more than the back of a napkin 45 years ago and built a solid foundation and a client-first culture that has enabled the company to grow steadily and become an industry leader in the Omaha area.
Langan, Zabrowski and Hansen had not been born when Investors realty was founded.
“We made these changes due to our growth and because it is important to our clients, customers and teammates that they know the company has a plan to continue growing for another 45 years,” said Neary. “These are well-deserved promotions for this next generation of leaders. Steve and I have complete confidence that they will keep the culture but evolve Investors Realty to fit the needs of the ever-changing market.”
Hansen oversees a team that manages and maintains six million square feet of office, retail and industrial space. She came to Investors Realty in 2012 from Washington D.C. where she managed commercial and apartment properties. Hansen is a native of Indiana and holds a degree in property management from Ball State University.
Kerrigan has been a broker with Investors Realty since 1994 and member of the management team for nearly 20 years. He is an Omaha native and holds a degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Kerrigan also holds the CCIM and SIOR designations. He will continue as a full-time broker primarily engaged in the transaction side of the firm’s business as Managing Broker, doing business development and professional development of the brokerage team.
Zabrowski has been a broker at Investors Realty since 2001. He has a degree in accounting from Creighton University and also holds the CCIM and SIOR designations. Zabrowski will remain fully engaged as a broker as he is instrumental in the firm’s corporate services and business development.
